Taking cues from the likes of MGMT, The Avalanches, and Glass Animals, their debut single ‘I NEED U’ is a shimmering slice of introspective electro-pop, and the first of several genre-defying pandemic demos which take a lens to the major conflict of the digital age – squaring the endless possibility of the social media landscape with the crushing loneliness of a life lived online.

Stresshead cut their teeth playing in indie bands throughout their university years, but just as the fruits of their labour began to pay off in the form of a nationwide tour and a major label recording contract, the pandemic hit and they found themselves at ground zero. Using the time to write, relocate, and explore, their frustrations culminated in a new outlook on music, turning their backs on their indie rock roots and instead looking to London’s bourgeoning club scene for inspiration – seeking a community whose camaraderie defied the pandemic
Whilst quietly cultivating their first live show, Stresshead can regularly be found at open deck events and house parties across the city, mixing their unique alt-pop cuts and live vocals seamlessly into house, techno, garage, and more – blurring the nocturnal line between the worlds of the gig and the club
